M'CHEL BAUXAL
Celebrity Makeup Artist / Hair Stylist, based in Portland Oregon and known Internationally for her talent. Fourteen years experience in the Entertainment Industry with ABC, NBC, FOX, Universal, Fisher Pathways, Disney, Comedy Central, MTV, Bravo, Discovery, Nike & Adidas. Celebrity Clientele including Barack & Michelle Obama, Dakota Fanning; Film, TV, HDTV, Video, Print, Editorial and Fashion. Winner of five prestigious International, National, Regional and State Makeup / Hair Artist Awards. Featured in numerous makeup publications, as well as magazine covers. M'chel is an artist who is very dedicated to her career, perfecting her craft daily to place her at the top of her profession.
Born in Norfolk Virginia and raised in Aurora Oregon. At age 18, M'chel ventured down to L.A.'s American College of the Applied Arts, then transferred to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and graduating with her B.A. in Fashion Design in 1996. Two years earlier she developed a passion for makeup while working on the special effects makeup team for Six Flags Magic Mountain October Fright Fest. She pursued that passion after graduation, when she found working in the corporate fashion design industry to be a disappointing experience.
M'chel acquired every book that would increase her knowledge in makeup artistry. She taught herself all the basics about beauty, airbrush, special effects and hair designing. Then marketing herself in the entertainment industry.
M'chel moved back to Oregon in 2004 after 11 years in L.A., currently, a beauty editor of a regional beauty magazine and appearing in a monthly makeup segment on KATU Channel 2. She is continuously mastering her skills in the beauty industry. She is highly qualified, respected, extremely reliable and approaches every project with professionalism. Her current venture is to create her own make-up line called BAUXAL.
