M 'chel Bauxal, Celebrity Makeup Artist & Hair Stylist, based out of Oregon and known internationally for her talent with 16 years experience in the entertainment industry. Born in Norfolk, Virginia in 1970 and raised in Aurora, Oregon, at age 18, M 'chel ventured down to L.A.'s American College of the Applied Arts, then transferred to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising where she graduated with a Bachelors of Art Degree in Fashion Design in 1996. While working with the special effects makeup team for Six Flags Magic Mountain Fright Fest, she developed a passion for makeup and pursued it full time after graduation. M 'chel acquired every book that would increase her knowledge in makeup artistry and taught herself all the basics about beauty, airbrushing, special effects and hair designing. She then utilized her fashion and glamour knowledge to market herself in the entertainment industry.
M 'chel moved back to Oregon in 2004 after 11 years in L.A. and currently enjoys appearing in a semi-monthly makeup segment on the ABC affiliate KATU Channel 2 program out of Portland called AM Northwest where she helps educate viewers on current makeup trends and has acted as a beauty editor for a regional magazine Renew Beauty. She is now writing for two international online websites as a beauty expert and continuously working on mastering her skills in the industry, searching for hip and fresh ideas and use of color and fashion in her role as a celebrity makeup artist, the highest level one can reach. She is highly qualified, respected, extremely reliable and approaches every project with consideration of her clients reputation and with the single goal of perfection. Her current venture is to create her own make-up line called BAUXAL and is in pre-production of her own television show called GLAM NOW! that her production company owning husband, Dennis Gleason, is producing for her to highlight all the glamorous and beautiful elements of hair, makeup, fashion, accessories and style.
